Orlando's Elfrid Payton scores a career-high 28 points

Orlando Magic guard Elfrid Payton scored a career-high 28 points with nine assists, nine rebounds, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer in Saturday's 107-114 loss to the Utah Jazz.

What It Means:

Evan Fournier was a late scratch for the Magic which led to 39 minutes for Payton. Fournier could miss a few games so Payton should get some extended run depending on Fournier's status. He is a risky play most nights but his upside is undeniable.

Payton is averaging 11.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.2 steals over 28.8 minutes per game. He has a .485 effective field goal percentage and a -1.1 nERD.
