Detroit Pistons shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (shoulder) will have an MRI Friday in Salt Lake City, which will determine his availability for Friday night's game against the Utah Jazz.
Caldwell-Pope was unable to return on Thursday after injuring his left shoulder less than four minutes into the contest. The X-rays were fortunately negative, but it would still be a bit of a surprise if KCP winds up playing on Friday. Stanley Johnson would likely benefit the most from his potential absence.
If he does play, our models project Caldwell-Pope for 14.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.3 3-pointers versus the Jazz. His 0.9 nERD this season ranks him 94th in the NBA and fourth on the Pistons.
