Tyreke Evans explodes in Thursday's win for New Orleans

New Orleans Pelicans guard Tyreke Evans doesn't seem to be slowed down much by his knee surgery any more, as he went off for a season-high 29 points to go with 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals and 1 block in only 27 minutes of action as the Pelicans beat the Brooklyn Nets 104-95.

What It Means:

The Pelicans have been easing Evans back into the rotation, and those 27 minutes were a season-high, and only his second game of at least 20 minutes. He's averaging 9.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 16.8 minutes per game this season, but you can expect those numbers to get even better moving forward as his workload continues to increase.

Evans' 53.9 nERD on Thursday was the second-highest mark among all players in action, per numberFire Live. He has been very efficient in his limited action this year, with career-highs in both assist rate (37.0 percent) and total rebound rate (10.1 percent) while his .535 true shooting percentage and 18.2 player efficiency rating are both the second-highest marks of his career.
