Kristaps Porzingis will sit out for the Knicks on Thursday
New York Knicks forward Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) will not play against the Chicago Bulls on Thursday.
Porzingis already sat out three games with the Achilles injury but has not looked sharp this week. He has averaged only 10.7 points and 3.7 rebounds while shooting 32.4 percent from the floor in his last three games. Particularly with the Knicks playing the second game of a back-to-back on Thursday, it makes sense for the big man to take a rest. Lance Thomas is expected to start in his absence.
Thomas averaged 9.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 30.1 minutes per game in the three games he started in place of Porzingis earlier this month.
