Nets drop Anthony Bennett, add Quincy Acy

The Brooklyn Nets waived forward Anthony Bennett and replaced him with forward Quincy Acy, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.

What It Means:

Acy could wind up providing some deep-league value for a Nets team that is thin at power forward, but shouldn't be on any radars just yet. Bennett played in 23 games for Brooklyn this season.

Bennett averaged 5.0 points and 3.4 rebounds per game on 41.3 percent shooting prior to being released. The 8-28 Nets currently rank dead last in numberFire's NBA Team Power Rankings.
