Tony Allen comes up huge in Memphis' win over Golden State
Memphis Grizzlies guard Tony Allen recorded six steals in Friday's win over the Golden State Warriors, finishing with 11 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and two turnovers in 48 minutes.
The Grindfather was all over the court on Friday and was crucial in the Grizzlies erasing the Warriors' big lead. He was just 5-for-16 from the floor, but Allen was not on the court for 48 minutes because of his offense. He continues to provide great wing defense for Memphis, even as he approaches his 35th birthday.
Allen is averaging 10.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.8 steals over 28.3 minutes per game this season. He owns a .493 effective field goal percentage and his nERD of 0.3 ranks 124th in the league.
