Miami Heat center Willie Reed scored 22 points (10-of-15 FGs, 2-of-5 FTs) with 12 rebounds, two assists and three blocks in 32 minutes against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday.
What It Means:
Reed has been up and down with Hassan Whiteside on the shelf, but he has two monster games against the Lakers and Suns, so at least he is beating up on the bad teams. Whiteside is close to returning and Reed will lose nearly all of his fantasy appeal once that happens.
Reed is averaging 5.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 0.8 blocks across 13.6 minutes this season. He has a .581 effective field goal percentage and his nERD of 1.4 ranks 74th in the league.
