Hassan Whiteside not with the Heat as they travel to Phoenix
Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside (right retinal contusion) did not travel with the team to Arizona where they will take on the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.
This all but rules Whiteside out for Tuesday's contest and leaves him questionable for Wednesday's matchup with the Sacramento Kings with a retinal contusion to his right eye. The center is still sensitive to light and may sit out for the entire six-game road trip the Heat are starting on Tuesday. While Willie Reed received the start in Whiteside's place, James Johnson was the biggest beneficiary on Sunday.
Johnson played 34 minutes with 20 points and seven rebounds versus the Detroit Pistons on Sunday.
