Hawks' Dwight Howard plays well in return

Atlanta Hawks center Dwight Howard (back) returned from a three-game absence on Monday against the Minnesota Wolves and didn't miss a beat, scoring 20 points with 12 rebounds in 21 minutes.

What It Means:

The Hawks got blown out but it wasn't on Howard. He was 9-for-9 from the floor on Monday and he added a couple of blocks too. Howard might still be on a minutes limit for the time being, but if he continues to thrive like this, it could be lifted pretty quickly with the Hawks struggling.

Howard is having a fine season, averaging 14.4 points, 13.0 rebounds and 1.4 blocks over 28.9 minutes per game. He has a career-best .646 effective field goal percentage and his nERD of 3.0 ranks 27th among all players.
