Larry Nance (knee) to miss approximately four more weeks for Lakers
Los Angeles Lakers power forward Larry Nance Jr. has a bone bruise in his left knee, and is expected to miss about four more weeks.
While it is encouraging that there's no serious damage to his knee, four weeks is a long absence for a bone bruise. Julius Randle, Brandon Ingram and Luol Deng will likely continue to see increased roles with Nance out.
Nance has shown a lot of improvement from his rookie campaign last year, and is averaging 11.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.0 blocks per game this season. His .606 true shooting percentage and 15.8 player efficiency rating are both improvements over his rookie numbers.
