Mavericks making Dirk Nowitzki (Achilles) questionable for Wednesday
Dallas Mavericks forward/center Dirk Nowitzki (Achilles) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Mavericks also play on Friday against the Los Angeles Clippers, and Nowitzki has said he hopes to return before Christmas. He'll more than likely be on a minutes limit after being sidelined since November 25, and will require frequent maintenance after that. Harrison Barnes will lose some offensive touches with Dirk back, and Dorian Finney-Smith heads back to the bench.
numberFire's models currently project Nowitzki to average 15.4 points and 6.2 rebounds in 28.9 minutes per game over the remainder of the year.
