Cavaliers' J.R. Smith will not play Friday night
Cleveland Cavaliers guard/forward J.R. Smith (knee) will not play against the Miami Heat on Friday night.
This makes two straight games missed for Smith due to a hyperextended left knee. Consider him questionable for Saturday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies as well. DeAndre Liggins started in Smith's place on Wednesday but attempted only two shots in 20 minutes. Iman Shumpert will also likely see minutes bump on Friday.
Smith has played pretty poorly this season with 7.8 points and 2.3 three-pointers per game while shooting only 31.1 percent from the floor. His -1.3 nERD rating ranks him 399th out of 441 NBA players.
