Jahlil Okafor (gastroenteritis) out Monday and Tuesday for the 76ers
Philadelphia 76ers' Jahlil Okafor (gastroenteritis) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Denver Nuggets as well as Tuesday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Gastroenteritis -- the stomach flu -- is not usually a long-term issue, so expect to see Okafor back on the court on Thursday when the 76ers take on the New Orleans Pelicans. Joel Embiid will start at center on Monday but is scheduled to rest on Tuesday. Dario Saric and Richaun Holmes will likely see more playing time in Okafor's absence, especially on Tuesday.
Okafor has been a disappointment this season as he is seeing less playing time with Embiid's emergence. He is averaging only 11.2 points and 4.4 rebounds per game while posting a -1.2 nERD rating.
