Pelicans' Anthony Davis expected to play Monday despite tweaking foot
New Orleans Pelicans forward/center Anthony Davis (right foot sprain) is probable Monday night against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Davis denied needing X-rays for his foot, but he's likely less than 100 percent after tweaking something during Sunday's contest. The 23-year-old remains a must-start in season-long leagues, but he carries more risk for DFS investors tonight. Davis is logging a career-high 37.5 minutes per game this season (tied with Harrison Barnes for first in the league), but has only missed one game while battling a variety of ailments.
Our models currently project Davis to record 26.2 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.3 blocks and 1.4 steals versus Memphis. His 5.2 nERD ranks fourth in the NBA, and he is on pace for career-highs in player efficiency rating (with a league-leading 31.9) and true shooting percentage (.596).
