Nets sign Donatas Motiejunas to $37M offer sheet
The Brooklyn Nets have signed Houston Rockets' forward Donatas Motiejunas to a four-year, $37 million offer sheet.
A stunning deal for the oft-injured power forward. While Motiejunas is only 26 and still has the potential to blossom into a solid post player in the league, he is coming off a season where he played only 37 games due to a lingering back injury. The Rockets now have 72 hours to match the deal, which all signs point to them declining the option.
In 2014-15, Motiejunas had a career year as he started 62 games and averaged 12.0 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Last year, the forward played only 14.8 minutes per game and posted a career-low 50.4 percent true shooting percentage and -1.8 nERD rating.
