76ers send Nerlens Noel to D-League for rehab
Philadelphia 76ers forward/center Nerlens Noel has reportedly been sent down to the D-League to rehab his surgically repaired left knee.
Noel's return seems to be close as he said last week he was just a couple of weeks away. He should play a few games in the D-League before making his season debut, but with a crowded frontcourt in Philly, it might be hard for Noel to regain his fantasy value immediately. However, if traded, he could be a huge boon for whoever is stashing him.
Noel averaged 11.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.5 blocks per game last season, contributing to a measly -2.0 nERD. Our models project him to average 12.2 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 blocks in 28.3 minutes per game over the rest of the season.
