Meyers Leonard expected to start for Blazers on Sunday
Portland Trail Blazers forward/center Meyers Leonard is expected to start again on Sunday against the Denver Nuggets.
Leonard is filling in for the injured Al Farouq Aminu and he played well in 29 minutes on Friday in a start, earning him another one on Sunday. He bumped Noah Vonleh completely out of the rotation and Ed Davis saw limited minutes Friday, but it's hard to predict Terry Stotts' frontcourt rotations going forward, even when they are down a body.
So far through eight games, Leonard has been solid in limited minutes averaging 4.4 points and 3.0 rebounds in 15.3 minutes per game. He has a .413 effective field goal percentage.
