Cavaliers' Iman Shumpert going through concussion protocol

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert is currently going through the league mandated concussion protocol testing, and there's a chance he could miss the Cavs' next two games.

What It Means:

Shumpert got hit in the head pretty hard last night and was experiencing concussion symptoms in the locker room. He will need to pass a series of tests before he is cleared to get back on the court. The Cavs play a back to back Friday and Saturday, so if Shumpert is out, DeAndre Liggins could see backup point guard minutes behind Kyrie Irving.

Shumpert posted only 5.8 points in 24.4 minutes per game last season with a .444 effective field goal percentage and both of which were career lows.
