Festus Ezeli (knee) officially ruled out for Portland's season opener
Portland Trail Blazers center Festus Ezeli (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's season opener against the Utah Jazz.
This doesn't come as any sort of a surprise, as Ezeli is still only getting in limited work at practice. Mason Plumlee is expected to start at center for the Blazers, while Meyers Leonard will likely get some additional run with Ezeli sidelined.
Our models project Ezeli to average only 5.6 points and 5.5 rebounds in 14.1 minutes per game on the season. Barring injuries to Leonard or Plumlee, Ezeli will not likely be a viable fantasy option this season.
