Ty Lawson anticipating 30-40 minutes a night for Kings' first eight games
Sacramento Kings point guard Ty Lawson said head coach Dave Joerger has told him to plan on playing 30-40 minutes a night while Darren Collison serves his eight-game suspension to start the year.
After the Kings waived a pair of point guards Monday in Jordan Farmar and Isaiah Cousins, they must have faith in Lawson holding things down in the backcourt until Collison returns. Depending on his cost, Lawson could be a sweet value play on FanDuel for the first week or so of the season.
For the year, we have Lawson at 23.8 minutes a night while averaging 7.1 points, 4.4 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game on 39.1 percent from the field.
