Marcus Smart's ankle progressing for Celtics
Boston Celtics point guard Marcus Smart is improving with his ankle injury, according to head coach Brad Stevens.
Stevens still won't provide a reliable timetable for Smart's return, so his status for Wednesday night's season opener against the Brooklyn Nets remains up in the air. Terry Rozier stands to benefit the most if Smart can't go.
Our models currently project Smart to play 29.5 minutes a night during the 2016-17 NBA season, averaging 11.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.3 3-pointers on 38.9 percent shooting from the field.
