Patrick Patterson now leader in clubhouse for Raptors' starting job

Toronto Raptors forward/center Patrick Patterson is currently viewed as the "leading candidate" to start sans Jared Sullinger (foot surgery), according to head coach Dwayne Casey.

What It Means:

Rookie Pascal Siakam is the other contender, as Casey sometimes prefers Patterson off the bench based on matchups. Either way, Patterson will get the bulk of minutes for Toronto at the power forward spot while Sullinger is sidelined.

Patterson is pegged for 7.5 points and 4.3 rebounds with a 43.8 field goal percentage in 25.3 minutes a night.
