Eric Gordon starting for Rockets on opening night
Houston Rockets shooting guard Eric Gordon will officially be the starting two-guard on opening night with Patrick Beverley (knee surgery) unavailable.
The job could be Gordon's to lose, as Beverley is set to miss at least the first 20 games of the season, and will likely be eased back into things once he returns to the court. He's a fantastic low-risk, high-reward option at the back end of drafts.
Our models currently have Gordon pegged for 30 minutes a night in 2016-17, averaging 15.3 points on 43.8 percent shooting from the field with 2.5 3-pointers, 2.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists.
