Timberwolves, 'several teams' interested in Cavaliers' Iman Shumpert

Cleveland Cavaliers guard/forward Iman Shumpert is drawing interest from "several teams" about a potential trade, with the Minnesota Timberwolves being among them, according to Zach Lowe of ESPN.

What It Means:

The Cavaliers don't intend on merely dumping the remaining three years of Shumpert's four-year, $40 million deal he signed prior to last season, but providing some tax relief wouldn't be a bad idea for Cleveland's front office. Shumpert shot just 37.4 percent from the field and 29.5 percent from deep in 2015-16, averaging 24.4 minutes per game.

Our models expect Shumpert to average 6.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals this season.
