Grizzlies anoint JaMychal Green as new starting power forward
Memphis Grizzlies power forward JaMychal Green will be the team's starter this season.
Head coach David Fizdale wants to push the tempo this season, evidenced by a pair of 3-point attempts that Green hoisted up in the Grizzlies' preseason opener. He won't be filling up the box scores, but the 26-year-old has some nice upside worth taking a flier on in the late rounds. Zach Randolph will be coming off the bench for Memphis.
In the 15 games he started last season, Green averaged 11.9 points, 7.2 boards, 1.8 assists, 0.9 steals, 0.7 blocks and 0.3 3-pointers. His effective field goal percentage fell to .480 after a .574 clip his rookie year.
