Pacers' Myles Turner no longer in concussion protocol
Indiana Pacers forward/center Myles Turner is no longer in the concussion protocol and could play later this weekend.
Turner likely could have played Tuesday night had it been the regular season, but he's aiming to play Saturday against the Chicago Bulls as the Pacers don't want to force the issue. Despite Turner's absence, Al Jefferson has remained with the second unit, so the sophomore's job security as the starting center seems to be pretty safe entering his second NBA campaign. He's a popular breakout candidate in fantasy drafts, and for good reason.
Turner flashed some huge upside as a rookie after being taken as the 11th pick in the 2015 draft. He averaged 10.3 points, 5.5 boards and 1.4 blocks over 22.8 minutes per game last year. Expect to see the big man's minutes and production stand to skyrocket this season as the starting center.
