Grizzlies get 13 minutes, 10 points from Marc Gasol in return

Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol (foot) returned to action and played 13 minutes on Monday versus the Orlando Magic, scoring 10 points on 5-of-11 shooting with two rebounds, one assist and two turnovers.

What It Means:

Not too shabby for someone who hadn't played since February 8. There have been reports that Gasol will stretch his range this season (he's averaging 0.1 attempts from deep for his career), and that was on display Monday night when he hoisted two up from deep. He's reliable as they come when healthy, but the Grizzlies have already said they will be conservative with Gasol's workload throughout the year, making the big man a risky target in the middle rounds.

Gasol averaged 16.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.3 blocks in 34.4 minutes per game this past season. He only played in 52 games, earning a nERD of -0.1, which ranked 81st in the league.
