Anthony Davis (knee) under no restrictions at Pelicans' camp
New Orleans Pelicans forward/center Anthony Davis (knee surgery) is not under any medical restrictions at training camp.
Davis underwent a procedure on his left knee cap this summer. He claimed during his exit interview that he is fully recovered from that issue, along with a torn labrum that Davis revealed had been plaguing him for the past three years. His durability has been an issue for his entire career, so entering the 2016-2017 season with a clean bill of health would be encouraging. Head coach Alvin Gentry said the Pelicans main priority for Davis is making sure he's "1000 percent" healthy for opening night. He should be targeted towards the end of the first round in fantasy drafts.
Davis averaged 24.3 points, a career-high 10.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game in the regular season while shooting a career-low .508 effective field goal percentage. His 6.0 nERD ranked 27th in the NBA.
