Grizzlies' Marc Gasol cleared to play

Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol (right foot) has been cleared to play after recovering from a broken right foot.

What It Means:

Gasol has been out of action since February with a broken foot, that not only forced him to miss a chunk of the season, but the Olympics as well. The big man is expected to be a full participant in training camp once it opens in a few weeks and with a revamped Grizzlies roster, Gasol should thrive as the go-to guy in the offense.

Gasol averaged 16.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.3 blocks in 34.4 minutes per game this past season. He only played in 52 games, earning a nERD of -0.1, which ranked 81st in the league.
