Nuggets' Jusuf Nurkic injures leg in loss to Russia
Denver Nuggets center Jusuf Nurkic suffered an apparent lower right leg injury during the closing minutes of Bosnia and Herzegovina's 78-67 loss to Russia, and did not return to the game.
Nurkic was seen after the game without a noticeable limp, so it doesn't sound like anything too serious. The injury also appeared to occur to his right calf, so it's good it wasn't the left knee that required surgery to repair. It remains to be seen if Nurkic will be limited, or maybe held out, of Bosnia's matchup with Sweden on Wednesday.
On a per-36-minute basis last season, Nurkic averaged 17.9 points, 11.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.9 blocks and 1.3 steals for the Nuggets.
