Deron Williams

Deron Williams (hernia) cleared for Mavericks' camp

Dallas Mavericks point guard Deron Williams (sports hernia) has been cleared for the start of training camp.

What It Means:

He was expected to be a "full go" and now it's official. After three months removed from the court, Williams is now back to full strength. The veteran point guard still has his moments, but the lack of upside and durability concerns should have you looking elsewhere when drafting your fantasy team. J.J. Barea, Devin Harris and Seth Curry all figure to have a role in Dallas' backcourt this season.

Williams averaged 14.1 points and 5.8 assists in 32.4 minutes per game last season, while he posted a .530 true shooting percentage, a 29.3 percent assist rate and a -1.9 nERD that ranked 99th in the NBA.
