Cavaliers' Iman Shumpert arrested for suspicion of DUI

Cleveland Cavaliers guard/forward Iman Shumpert was arrested for suspicion of DUI back in August.

What It Means:

Any conviction or guilty plea stemming from a DUI typically leads to a suspension from the league. The Cavaliers aren't commenting on the situation, but have "discussed" the matter with Shumpert. Per Cavaliers reporter Jason Lloyd, the arrest was for marijuana, rather than alcohol, and Shumpert admitted to the arresting officer that he had been smoking. Assuming he stays in Cleveland, Shumpert's role off the Cavaliers' bench with limit his fantasy value to deeper leagues.

Shumpert averaged 5.8 points, 3.8 boards, 1.7 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.8 3-pointers last season. He ranked 97th with a -1.7 nERD and his 44.4 Effective Field Goal Percentage was a career low.
