Timberwolves' Nikola Pekovic (foot) still not fully recovered
Minnesota Timberwolves center Nikola Pekovic, despite having been working out in Minnesota for the past few weeks, is still not fully recovered from his Achilles injury, per ESPN 1500's Sam Wolfson.
Pekovic has been out since February, and he rported back to Minnesota early this off-season to work with the team doctors to try to get back on the floor. The Wolves clearly came into the off-season looking for a contingency plan if he wasn't able to recover for the season, and added centers Jordan Hill and Cole Aldrich in free agency.
Pekovic only managed to play in 12 games last season, averaging 4.5 points and 1.8 rebounds in only 13.0 minutes per game. Injuries have plagued the 30-year-old through his entire NBA career, and he has never played more than 65 games in any of his six seasons.
