Ty Lawson, Kings agree to one-year deal

The Sacramento Kings agreed to a one-year deal with point guard Ty Lawson.

What It Means:

Still only 28-years-old, the disparaged point guard could earn himself a long-term deal next summer with a solid showing for the Kings during the 2016-2017 campaign. Lawson will presumably operate things for the second unit, with Darren Collison remaining the starter in Sacramento. He's off fantasy radars, other than maybe as a handcuff in deep leagues.

Lawson averaged 5.7 points, 3.6 assists and 1.8 boards per game last season for the Houston Rockets and Indiana Pacers, while his .476 true shooting percentage was easily the worst of his career.
