Dallas Mavericks point guard Deron Williams (sports hernia) expects to be ready in time to participate without restriction in training camp.
What It Means:
That has been the word on the issue all summer, but it is encouraging that there have been no set-backs since his June 9 surgery.
Williams averaged 14.1 points and 5.8 assists in 32.4 minutes per game last season, while he posted a .530 true shooting percentage, a 29.3 percent assist rate and a -1.9 nERD that ranked 99th in the NBA.
