Paul Pierce planning on playing 19th NBA season
Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul Pierce is planning on returning for his 19th season in the NBA, according to Dan Woike of Los Angeles Daily News.
Woike did state that he wouldn't be surprised if Pierce wound up changing his mind, as the 38-year-old veteran hasn't been able to completely commit to a decision. After averaging a career-low 18.1 minutes in 68 contests last season, Pierce would have a very minimal role with the Clippers.
Pierce had a nERD of -3.6 last season. He averaged 6.1 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.1 triples per game for the year. The veteran had an effective field goal percentage of .457, which was his lowest mark since 2003-'04.
