Mavericks' Andrew Bogut leads Australia in Olympics opener

Dallas Mavericks center Andrew Bogut (knee) looked healthy in his first game at the Olympics, going off for 18 points, four rebounds, five assists and a block on 9-of-10 shooting in a blowout win over France.

What It Means:

Bogut went down in the NBA FInals with a knee sprain, but looked healthy and mobile in Australia's 87-66 win in the Olympics opener on Saturday. He wasn't even sure if he was going to be able to play in the Olympics, but it looks as if the veteran will continue to be a focal point on offense for the Boomers over the remainder of the tournament.

Bogut posted a solid 4.6 nERD, which ranked 38th, in 70 games played this season, but had low per-game averages. He averaged 5.4 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game, while recording a career-best .623 true shooting percentage.
