Dion Waiters agrees to one-year deal with Heat
The Miami Heat signed guard Dion Waiters to a one-year deal for $2.9 million.
Waiters wanted $18 million per season and this deal isn't anywhere near his initial asking price. However, maybe playing time made a difference, as he should see plenty of minutes with Miami and might even start over Josh Richardson. Waiters has not shot the ball well over his four-year career, shooting just 41.1 percent from the field for his career, including 39.9 percent last season. Waiters is not worthy of anything besides a late-round pick for fantasy purposes.
Waiters struggled to a -4.9 nERD, which ranked 127th, in 78 games played last season for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He averaged 9.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists, while posting a .492 true shooting percentage.
