Gerald Green will join Celtics on one-year deal

Free agent guard Gerald Green has reportedly agreed to a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum with the Boston Celtics.

What It Means:

Green played poorly last season and eventually lost his rotation spot towards the end of the season. He has posted big years in the past at the three-point line and Boston is hoping he can get back to knocking down shots from the outside off their bench next season.

Green had only a -3.2 nERD and a .463 effective field goal percentage in his one year in Miami last season. He shot only 32.3 percent from beyond the arc, which was his lowest in three seasons and he averaged just 8.9 points in 69 games.
