Tyler Zeller agrees to two-year deal with Celtics

The Boston Celtics and center Tyler Zeller have agreed to a two-year, $16 million deal.

What It Means:

Zeller was drafted 17th overall in 2012 and has spent the last two years in Boston where he posted solid per-36 numbers. The second year of the deal is a team option, but after two years of growth in Boston, Zeller will likely provide good production at the center position for Boston over the next two years.

Zeller posted per-36 numbers of 18.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game in 2015-'16. He owned a 0.3 nERD last year, but he had a poor effective field goal percentage of just .476.
