Celtics and Sixers talking Jahlil Okafor trade

Philadelphia 76ers center Jahlil Okafor is reportedly the "most likely" Philadelphia big man to be traded to the Boston Celtics, should a trade go down.

What It Means:

The Celtics and Sixers have been in trade talks since the draft, but originally Boston was going after Nerlens Noel. However, the Celtics think that Okafor could pair well with newly signed center, Al Horford. If a trade for Okafor does go down, Joel Embiid would get a huge boost in Philly.

Okafor struggled to a -4.7 nERD, which ranked 125th, last season in 53 games (48 starts) as a rookie. He averaged 17.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.2 blocks, while posting a .509 effective field goal percentage and a 12.8 percent total rebound rate.
