Nuggets coach says team can build around Nikola Jokic
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic can be a focal point that the team is able to build around, believes head coach Mike Malone.
Jokic had an impressive second-half of the season in 2015-16, despite playing just 24.8 minutes a night, averaging 10.8 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.8 blocks per game, while shooting 48.9 percent from the field. Jokic showed that he can provide solid value while getting limited playing time, so despite having more competition for minutes from a healthy Jusuf Nurkic next season, it's still logical to target Jokic as an early mid-round target in fantasy leagues.
Jokic posted an impressive 6.2 nERD, which ranked 25th, in 80 games played last season. The 21 year-old also had a .582 true shooting percentage.
