The Indiana Pacers signed point guard Aaron Brooks to a one-year, $2.5 million deal.
The Pacers have had a lot of turnover among starters this off-season, but they still needed some depth behind them. Brooks will likely compete with Joseph Young (9.4 minutes per game as a rookie last season) for backup point guard minutes, but neither will offer fantasy value.
Brooks struggled to a -2.9 nERD, which ranked 108th, in 69 games (zero starts) played last season with the Chicago Bulls. He averaged 7.1 points, 2.6 assists and 1.5 rebounds in 16.1 minutes per game, while posting a .494 true shooting percentage, the second lowest mark of his career.
