Pat Riley expects Justise Winslow to start for Miami at small forward

Miami Heat President Pat Riley said he's expecting forward Justise Winslow to start at small forward next season.

What It Means:

Winslow showed some promise as a rookie last season, but he still has a ways to go in his offensive development. With Luol Deng gone to the Lakers, Winslow will need to step up on the offensive end for the Heat. He averaged 16.3 points per game in the Orlando Summer League, but he shot only 29.8 percent from the floor in those three games.

As a rookie last season, Winslow averaged 6.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 28.6 minutes per game. He owned a .457 effective field goal percentage in 78 games played, and in 12 playoff games his eFG% improved only slightly to .466.
