Terrence Jones

Terrence Jones may not be headed to New Orleans

Free agent forward Terrence Jones has reportedly received at least one offer from another NBA team that is richer than what the New Orleans Pelicans can pay.

What It Means:

The Pelicans are hopeful that regardless of the higher offer, Jones will still choose to come to New Orleans. However, considering that Jones' career earnings are relatively low, it wouldn't be surprising if he decides to take the deal offering the most money, and who can blame him. Jones is highly talented, but his inability to stay healthy -- he's played just 83 games over the last two seasons -- makes him a risky fantasy draft pick.

Jones averaged 8.7 points and 4.2 rebounds in 20.9 minutes per game last season, while posting the second-lowest true shooting percentage of his career (.519) and a career-low 11.1 percent total rebound rate. He ranked 94th in the NBA with a -1.4 nERD.
