Kings' Rudy Gay has not made trade request
Sacramento Kings forward Rudy Gay has not made a trade request, according to beat writer Sean Cunningham.
Ailene Voisin of the Sacramento Bee reported the opposite, so this new report is in direct contradiction. Regardless, Sacramento is continuing to try and trade Gay, but it sounds like they're doing so because of their own desires and not at the 12-year veteran's request.
Gay struggled to a -2.2 nERD last season, which ranked 102nd, in 70 games played. He averaged 17.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per contest, while recording a .538 true shooting percentage that was slightly above his .531 career mark.
