Manu Ginobili announces he'll return to Spurs
San Antonio Spurs guard/forward Manu Ginobili has announced that he will return to the team for the 2016-17 season.
"Happy to tell you guys that I'll be coming back to the Spurs for another season," Ginobli announced via social media on Thursday. Turning 39 later this month, he can still be effective for San Antonio on the court, but his fantasy contributions will be virtually nonexistent.
Ginobili posted a 3.0 nERD, which ranked 51st, in 58 games played -- all off the bench -- this season. He averaged 9.6 points, 3.1 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game while posting a .573 true shooting percentage.
