Rockets hoping to re-sign Donatas Motiejunas

The Houston Rockets are hoping to re-sign forward Donatas Motiejunas, per the Houston Chronicle's Jonathan Feigen.

What It Means:

Motiejunas has said that his back, which caused him to fail a physical, voiding Houston's attempt to trade him, still isn't 100 percent healthy, and he may prove to be a cost-effective way for the Rockets to try to keep some frontcourt depth.

Motiejunas finished last season ranking 97th in the league with a -1.7 nERD. He posted an 11.0 percent total rebound rate, his lowest since his rookie year, as well as a .504 true shooting percentage and 16.2 percent turnover rate that both marked career-worst numbers.
