Eric Gordon agrees to deal with Rockets

Unrestricted free agent guard Eric Gordon has reached a deal with the Houston Rockets on a four-year, $53 million contract.

What It Means:

Gordon has played in only 212 of a possible 328 games over the last four seasons in New Orleans. Despite this, the Rockets shelled out big money for the sharp shooting two guard. He likely will be used to back up James Harden, or as the Rockets' sixth man next season.

Gordon had a nERD of -1.9 this past season, and he finished with averages of 15.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists. However, his True Shooting Percentage of 56.5 percent through 45 games was the best he has shot since 2010-'11.
