Kent Bazemore will re-sign with Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks have reached an agreement with forward Kent Bazemore for a deal worth $70 million over four years.

What It Means:

Bazemore was reportedly going to delay some of his free agency meetings until after the holiday weekend, but the Hawks look like they sweetened the deal for their swingman. Bazemore has spent the last two seasons in Atlanta, and he will return there next season as the probable starting small forward.

Bazemore positioned himself well for free agency this season, posting career-highs with a 13.4 Player Efficiency Rating, .551 true shooting percentage and 9.9 percent total rebound rate. His -0.5 nERD ranked 85th in the NBA.
